![]() The soundtrack really needs to be on a CD that you can just put in your stereo. Who really wants a soundtrack on a DVD? I don't listen to music on DVDs, it's clumsy and awkward and not very economically sound when I have to have my HD TV on to play the sound out, meaning the screen is burning electricity unneeded. The one thing that's a disappointment is the bonus DVD and soundtrack. The compass is solid and really works, the art book is well presented, the poster suitably grand in scale to match, and the inclusion of almond seeds that you can actually grow into trees if so inclined seems odd at first but is really an inspired addition that drives home how much thought has gone into this. This level of attention carries through the rest of the set. The sole gripe I can find with it is that the authenticity plaque with the number of each individual box on it is a plastic sticker and not a similar brass to the Anno 1404 logo on the outside of the lid, and that mine was already peeling off when I opened it for the first time. Even the smell of the thing seems genuine. On closer inspection it's fairly clear that the box is made rather ingeniously with quite cheap materials, but to look and feel much older and more solid than it actually is. The box in question being quite literally a real wooden and leather box. A great deal of care and attention to detail is evident in the presentation of this collector's box. ![]()
